Our Clinical Trial Center is located in the Malcolm Randall VA Center in Gainesville, FL.
NFFRE CTC Resources:
Three dedicated patient rooms equipped with blood pressure cuffs, ECG machines, exam tables, and other general equipment needed for patient visits
A dedicated lab processing area
On-site CAP and CLIA accredited laboratory
Three private rooms for study monitoring and site visits with access to printers and fax machines
Refrigerated and ambient temperature centrifuges, freezers, and refrigerators
Electronic Medical Records System
NFFRE employees utilize the VA's electronic medical record system— CPRS. CPRS is one of the top rated EMR systems in the country and allows coordinators to follow research participants throughout the VA medical system.

Our NFFRE CTC Staff
Our Clinical Trial Center is staffed by experienced and dedicated clinical research coordinators who are well-versed in the application of GCP and FDA guidelines. Our team consists of both registered nurse and non-nurse study coordinators who take part in on-going industry training. The CTC team helps investigators facilitate the day-to-day research process while caring for research subjects in a supportive and efficient environment. Study Coordinators are available to provide complete study coordination on a wide range of services, such as, study feasibility, logistical consideration, study start-up, regulatory compliance, participant recruitment, data management, budgetary review and negotiation as well as financial management. Within our center is also a dedicated team of regulatory specialists that work on submissions to the IRB, HRPP, R&D, VA Safety Committee, Privacy Officer, Systems Security Officer.
Our Investigators are board-certified in a wide range of specialties and are proud to further advances in the medical field. As leaders in medical research, our doctors have been featured in multiple journals and have well-established relationships with study sponsors and research initiatives. Our investigators are affiliated with the North Florida/South Georgia Veteran Health System, providing them with access to eager patient populations that are candidates for diverse research studies. As part of their continuing medical education, they stay up-to-date in research training and regularly participate in local and national symposia and conferences.
Within our Clinical Trial Center is a team of dedicated regulatory specialists. Our regulatory team works closely with investigators and study coordinators to complete IRB and VA submissions. We have regulatory specialists for each stage of the clinical study life-cycle— ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
